On Any Given Day, You’ll Make a Difference ByMaintain and repair plant manufacturing equipment using blueprints, schematics, multi-meter, and other specialty toolsPerform regular checks and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operationCollaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks and ensure minimal disruption to productionEffectively communicate with service technicians and suppliers to troubleshoot equipmentAssist in the installations & start-up of new equipmentPerform basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical workDocument preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and other recordkeeping utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Database SystemDevelop and implement improvement ideasPerform other miscellaneous work assignments as directedWhat will help you thrive in this role?High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in related field is preferredMinimum 5 years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated abilities in mechanical/electric/hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repairDemonstrated ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environmentPossess a demonstrated value for safetyElectrical knowledge of AC and DC circuits, frequency drives, soft starts, motor starters, PC’s, and PLCMechanical knowledge of welders, pneumatics, hydraulics, vertical saws, plasma cutters, lasers, press brakes, formers, folders, and cranesPossess strong decision-making skills as well as the ability to see a project through from start to finishWillingness to work extended hours, off shifts, be part of a small group that handles breakdown call-in repairs and periodic weekend work as business needs surfaceAbility to communicate technical information in both verbal and written formatsStrong communication, including but not limited to, Cell Phone, Email and Radio as well as teamwork skillsComputer skills to include MS Office programsHubbell IncorporatedHubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
