General Factory Worker
Job Description
General Description:Perform activities pertaining to general factory work. This can include but not limited to shipping and receiving products, materials, packaging, parts washing, chip spinning, and machine operating.Responsibilities:Be able to perform all activities of sorting/packagingProcess shipments by:Identifying item on orderLocating items in inventory or in productionPackaging items for shipment to prevent damage during transitCreating labels to identify specific order informationLoading palletized orders onto trucksProcess incoming material by:Unloading trucks by use of fork-truck or hoistCheck product against purchase orderPlacing item into required locationUse computer to access sales/inventory informationMaintain order in the shipping and receiving area and the product inventory areaSpin chipsUse Chip Spinning Machines to separate metal chips from coolantTransfer dry chips in recycle containers and prepare bins to be picked upParts WashingWash and pack per work instructions, enter information into computerOther Duties as RequiredPhysical and Visual Activities:Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity-far/near depth perception, field of vision and accommodation.Physical Demands:Lift up to 50 poundsEnvironmental/Atmospheric Conditions:Indoor conditions, noise, hazards, odors, toxic conditionsMinimum Educational Qualifications:High school degree or equivalentExpected Training Period:3 months to 1 yearOther Skills:Experience operating fork-trucks and electric hoists
