Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will play a critical leadership role in managing the accounting function, strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and supporting strategic business initiatives.This opportunity is ideal for a CPA with a foundation in public accounting who is looking to leverage both technical accounting expertise and operational finance experience within a product-based organization.Why This Opportunity?Highly visible role reporting directly to the CFOOpportunity to influence financial strategy and operational performanceLeadership role with exposure to ownership and executive managementStable company with strong growth potentialBroad responsibilities across accounting, reporting, controls, and process improvementsHybrid work environmentKey ResponsibilitiesLead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting.Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.Oversee inventory accounting, cost accounting, and operational reporting.Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to executive leadership.Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors.Support ERP optimization and reporting enhancements.Develop and mentor accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Partner with operations leadership to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial visibility.Required QualificationsMust-Have RequirementsCPA RequiredPublic Accounting experience required (small to mid-sized CPA firm preferred)Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance8+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controlsPrior leadership experience within accounting or financePreferred QualificationsManufacturing industry experienceExperience working within product-based organizationsInventory and cost accounting experienceERP system experienceMicrosoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) experience is a plusIdeal CandidateThe successful candidate will have started their career in public accounting, obtained their CPA, and transitioned into industry where they have gained hands-on leadership experience.
