This role is responsible for managing all aspects of tenant fit-out construction, including coordination of trades, sequencing of work, quality control, and delivery of mission-critical infrastructure.The ideal candidate will hold a valid general contractor license and bring strong construction management experience within data center environments. They should have a solid understanding of white space infrastructure, including containment systems, overhead conveyance (such as ladder racks and cable tray systems), structural support frameworks, and cooling systems (HVAC). Familiarity with structured cabling systems (low voltage and fiber) is a plus.This is a full-time salaried position offering competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, paid time off, paid training, and performance-based bonuses.This position is based in the Sterling/Ashburn area and will work onsite for local data center projects. Approximately 50% travel outside of the Virginia area should be expected at times.A valid general contractor license is required.Key ResponsibilitiesLead on-site construction management for data center white space fit-out projectsOversee installation of:Structural hot aisle / cold aisle containment systemsOverhead cable tray systems and ladder rack conveyanceStructural support systems for cabinets, racks, cable trays, and electrical power distribution infrastructureCooling infrastructure, including HVAC unitsPower distribution from PDU down to cabinet levelManage trade contractors and ensure proper sequencing of work (e.g., structural supports → overhead conveyance → electrical distribution → cabling → containment) to maintain schedule and avoid conflictsCoordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and client stakeholdersEnforce quality control (QC) processes to ensure installations meet design specifications, load requirements, and industry standardsMonitor project schedule, budget, and progress; proactively identify and resolve risks/issuesEnsure compliance with safety standards and site protocolsReview construction drawings, submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings related to supports and overhead systemsVerify proper installation tolerances, anchoring, and support systems for overhead infrastructureSupport commissioning and handover processesRequired QualificationsMust hold a current general contractor license5-10+ years of construction management experience, preferably in mission-critical or data center environmentsProven experience managing white space fit-out / tenant improvement projects in colocation or hyperscale data centersDemonstrated ability to manage multiple subcontractors and deliver projects on scheduleStrong knowledge of QA/QC processes, including inspection of support systems and overhead installationsProject Management skills including scheduling and budgetingCandidate must have strong problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong stakeholder and client communicationPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with low voltage cabling (LVC) and/or fiber optic infrastructure within data centersProcore experience is strongly preferredRCDD-level knowledge or experience with structured cabling design standards (e.g., setting or enforcing standards)Experience in commissioning or turnover of data center white space environmentsTo support a fair, consistent, and high-quality hiring experience, some interviews may be recorded.
