Electrical Engineer – Power ElectronicsOhio, USA$80,000 – $140,000 + Bonus + Full BenefitsWe are working with a global leader in power technology to support the growth of their engineering team in Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in the development of next generation power distribution and control systems supporting mission-critical applications.This position sits within a highly collaborative product development environment, working across hardware, firmware, and systems engineering to deliver innovative, high-reliability solutions.The RoleAs an Electrical Engineer, you will take ownership of electrical design from concept through to validation, working on advanced control and power systems.Key responsibilities include:Design and development of analogue and digital circuits, with a strong focus on power electronicsPCB schematic capture, layout, and system-level integrationDevelopment of control systems for power distribution and switching equipmentValidation, testing, and debugging using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analysers, etc.)Ensure designs meet EMI/EMC standards and regulatory requirementsOptimise designs for performance, cost, manufacturability, and reliabilityCollaborate cross-functionally with firmware, test, and manufacturing teamsWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re looking for a hands-on engineer who enjoys working in a lab environment and thrives in a fast-paced product development setting.Required experience:2+ years’ experience in electrical/electronic engineeringStrong background in power electronics (e.g., switching, converters, power control systems)Experience with analogue and digital circuit designProven PCB design experience (schematic, layout, testing)Solid understanding of EMI/EMC principles and complianceExperience with lab testing and debugging toolsDegree in Electrical Engineering or related fieldDesirable:Experience with IGBT/SCR or high-power systemsExposure to 3-phase power systems or industrial equipmentFamiliarity with Mentor Graphics or similar toolsWhy Apply?Work on cutting edge power and control technologiesJoin a globally recognised engineering organisation with strong investment in innovationCompetitive salary and benefits package including:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchHealth savings and flexible spending optionsCareer development and progression opportunitiesApply NowIf you’re an Electrical Engineer looking to work on high impact, technically challenging products within power electronics, we’d be keen to speak with you.
