Maintenance Technician

Job Description Read on to find out what you will need to succeed in this position, including skills, qualifications, and experience.Manufacturing Maintenance TechnicianJob Description:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and plant equipment in a high-speed, continuous production environment. This role requires hands-on experience in heavy manufacturing and the ability to work effectively in a challenging, industrial setting.Key Responsibilities:Install, maintain, diagnose, and repair machines to ensure optimal performance and uptimeTest and troubleshoot electrical systems (minimum 480V); adjust or replace components as neededInstall motors, heating systems, and various electrical control equipmentLead preventative maintenance tasks and project executionOperate forklifts, man lifts, and work safely at heightsMaintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocolsPerform general building and grounds maintenanceFollow all safety and environmental regulationsEnvironment & Work Conditions:This is a heavy manufacturing role—residential, strictly automation, or strictly installation experience is not applicableWork is performed both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to extreme heat, cold, moisture, chemicals, fumes, and moving machineryMust be comfortable operating in a difficult environment around chemicals and in variable weather conditionsRequires regular lifting (up to 75 lbs), navigating uneven terrain, and working in elevated positionsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with galvanizing or metal processing operationsFamiliarity with 3-phase motors, air compressors, and overhead cranesMinimum of 1 year of overhead crane operation experiencePrevious shift work experience, including 12-hour rotating shifts (7 AM – 7 PM or 7 PM – 7 AM)Benefits Overview:Competitive 401(k) matchMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceLife Insurance (including spouse & children coverage)Short-Term Disability InsurancePaid Time OffEmployment Type: Full-time, Non-ExemptMaintenance, Mechanical, ElectricalEducation Required: High School Diploma or GEDExperience Required: Minimum 3 yearsAdditional Information:Pre-employment drug screening is required.
