Middle School Golf Head Coach Location: Carolina Day School - Asheville, NCEmployment Type: Part-Time/Seasonal (Spring Sports Season)Carolina Day School is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Head Golf Coach to join our athletics team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Athletics Department, support and enhance all aspects of the middle school golf program, with a focus on communication, athlete development, and program culture.This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about golf and values building meaningful relationships with student-athletes. The Head Coach will play a key role in shaping the daily execution and long-term vision of the program.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement practice plans that build technical and physical skills appropriate for middle school athletes.Lead and manage the team during practices and matches ensuring competitive performance and sportsmanship.Oversee athlete development, including assessing skills, setting individual goals, and promoting academic and athletic growth.Collaborate with the athletic department on scheduling matchesMaintain communication with athletes, parents, and school staff regarding team updates, expectations, and academic eligibility.Promote a positive team culture, emphasizing leadership, discipline, accountability, and respect.Qualifications:Previous coaching experience or high-level golf experience at the high school or collegiate level requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to connect with and motivate student-athletesDemonstrated ability to contribute to a team-oriented coaching staffPassion for the sport of golf and a strong commitment to character developmentHigh energy, positive attitude, and a growth mindsetDesired Qualities:A coach who values relationship-building as a core element of coachingVision-driven and capable of helping chart a path toward long-term program goalsEnthusiastic about mentoring young athletes and fostering a positive, high-energy team environmentCommitted to using golf as a platform for personal, academic, and athletic development.To Apply:Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and at least two professional referencesStipend position only.Americans with Disability Act Specifications:Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
