Heavy Duty Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic / Reciprocating Engine Mechanic with hands-on experience working with Volvo and Caterpillar diesel engines within oil & gas and power generation environments. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines and associated equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. DutiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Volvo and Caterpillar diesel and gas enginesPerform major overhauls and rebuilds on reciprocating engines (power generation units, emissions systems)Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance programsInspect and repair fuel, lube oil, cooling, ignition, and air systemsUtilize OEM diagnostic software and toolsSupport field service operations, including remote site workMaintain accurate maintenance and service recordsEnsure compliance with safety and environmental regulationsAssist with commissioning and decommissioning of equipmentCollaborate with operations teams to minimize downtimeQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred3–5+ years of heavy-duty or industrial engine experienceProven experience with Volvo and Caterpillar enginesStrong knowledge of reciprocating engines in oil & gas or power generationExperience with diagnostics, rebuilds, and troubleshootingValid driver's licenseReliable transportationPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift 50+ lbsWork in outdoor and industrial environmentsAbility to stand, kneel, and work in confined spacesBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible scheduleHealth insuranceVision insuranceWork Location: Lebanon, IndianaShift: 2 weeks on 2 weeks offPowered by JazzHR
