Director of OperationsLocation: Clifton, NJCompensation: $130,000 to $180,000/yearAbout the OpportunityTree Top Staffing is seeking a Director of Operations for a confidential manufacturing client in the Clifton, New Jersey area. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced operations executive with a strong background in complex manufacturing environments, preferably within aerospace or other highly regulated industries.The Director of Operations will oversee core plant operations across multiple production areas, including casting and machining, with responsibility for driving performance, quality, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. This individual will play a key role in aligning day-to-day operations with broader business goals and supporting long-term growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day operations across multiple manufacturing functions, including casting and machine shop operationsDrive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve output while maintaining quality standardsEnsure compliance with industry and customer requirements, including aerospace and quality standards such as AS9100, NADCAP, AMS, and ASTMOversee operational budgeting, cost controls, and resource allocation to support productivity and profitabilityBuild, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team across managers, supervisors, and production leadershipPartner with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure reliable material flow and avoid production delaysServe as a key operational contact for customer expectations related to quality, delivery, and overall serviceMaintain a safe and compliant manufacturing environment across all operational areasQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field10+ years of operations leadership experience within manufacturingStrong background in aluminum casting processes, with investment casting and solid mold casting experience preferredExperience working within aerospace manufacturing or similarly regulated production environmentsKnowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, and related quality and compliance standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsProven success with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologiesStrong leadership, financial, problem-solving, and communication skillsExperience managing cross-functional teams across production, quality, and operational support functionsBenefitsHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesApply TodayIf you are a senior operations leader with a track record of improving manufacturing performance, building strong teams, and leading in high-precision production environments, we want to hear from you.
