Electrical Controls Engineer

What you'll do: As an Automation Engineer, you will manage and design new Automation tooling and equipment. You will also support and improve current manufacturing systems. Duties / Responsibilities of this position: Develop new and support existing robotic automation systems. Projects often involve injection mold press tending, automated component feeding and assembly, laser marking, and vision inspection.Identify and implement appropriate new technology, controls and automation to maintain a competitive advantage in the market.Manage new projects considering budget/cost targets, delivery timelines and early build events.Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal personnel during all phases of new launches.Troubleshoot and coordinate appropriate response measures for existing production equipment.Responsible for electrical controls, simulation, programming, debug, and start-up assistance.Lead process development efforts for single component and 2 component liquid dispense applications. This includes specifying equipment and performing material trials.Ability to travel as needed ( Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering3-5yrs applicable electrical controls & automation experience preferredCAD ExperienceExcellent Communication SkillsProject ManagementKnowledge of Robotic Systems & Programming preferredKnowledge of Pneumatic Circuits preferredKnowledge of Electrical systems, examples may include:NEC CodeControl CircuitsMotion ControlPLC Programming Software Used:AutoCad/Draftsight - 2D CADSolidWorks - 3D CADFanuc & Sepro Robotic programmingAllen Bradley PLC programmingVision Inspection System programmingRoboGuide Simulation & Visual ComponentsMicrosoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPointOracle ERP
