Quality Assurance Manager

Position SummaryThe QA Manager is responsible for:Leading and maintaining the AS9100 Quality Management SystemManaging and developing the Quality Engineering teamEnsuring compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirementsDriving corrective action, risk management, and continuous improvementPartnering cross-functionally to improve overall business performanceThis role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on engagement in day-to-day manufacturing quality activities.What You Will DoQuality Management System LeadershipServe as a key leader of the AS9100 Quality Management SystemEnsure ongoing compliance with AS9100 and applicable customer requirementsLead internal audit program and support external, customer, and certification auditsOversee document control, training compliance, risk management, and quality recordsMaintain and improve procedures, work instructions, and system documentationEnsure effective implementation of corrective and preventive action processesQuality Engineering & Operational LeadershipLead and mentor Quality Engineers and Quality TechniciansProvide technical guidance and escalation support for quality issuesAlign quality priorities with production schedules and organizational objectivesLead investigations into internal and customer nonconformancesDrive structured root cause analysis, containment, and sustainable corrective actionsAnalyze quality data and KPIs to identify risks and improvement opportunitiesOversee inspection strategy, supplier quality performance, and production quality controlsPartner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience to improve quality outcomesChampion practical, floor-driven continuous improvement initiativesCustomer & Supplier InterfaceServe as a primary Quality contact during customer visits and auditsInterface directly with customers to resolve quality issues professionally and effectivelyOversee supplier quality performance and corrective action activitiesSupport risk-based supplier evaluation and monitoring processesLeadership & Organizational ImpactDevelop and strengthen the Quality teamBalance compliance discipline with operational practicalityBuild cross-functional alignment around quality objectivesDrive measurable improvements in defect reduction, escape prevention, and process stabilityContribute to strategic quality planning in partnership with the Quality DirectorThis role is designed for a quality professional who wants to lead people, systems, and performance — not just maintain documentation.RequiredWhat You’ll Need to SucceedBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field7+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing or production environments3+ years in a leadership or supervisory quality roleStrong practical experience working within AS9100 requirementsPractical experience leading audits, RCCA, nonconformance management, and supplier qualityAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationExperience working in a hands-on manufacturing environmentPreferredExperience supporting or serving in a Management Representative roleProven success developing and mentoring quality professionalsStrong data analysis and risk assessment capabilitiesASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE)Experience in high-mix, make-to-print manufacturing environmentsSalary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $118,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
