Creation TechnicianSchedule:6:30-5:00 Mon- Thurs with 2 paid breaks, one 30 minute unpaid lunch break (40 hrs /week no overtime for now but maybe down the road )Pay:$18/hrLocation:Bastrop Tx.As a Creation Technician, you bridge the gap between high-tech 3D printing and fine art. This role focuses on the "post-processing" stage—taking raw PMMA prints and refining them into gallery-quality masterpieces. You'll use a mix of hand-finishing techniques to achieve perfect clarity and surface texture. The Creation Technician is responsible for the final physical refinement of 3D-printed PMMA sculptures. Your primary goal is to remove print artifacts (layer lines and support marks).Will work in our creation department and wax department being a part of a fast-paced team environment. These departments are responsible for some of the initial steps necessary for producing unique pieces of art for artists around the country and across the world. This position will occasionally be needed to help in wax department as a wax technician and the desire is to cross train. These departments are air-conditioned workspaces.Responsibilities include:SurfacingPrep parts with paraffin waxPerform multi-stage sanding (from coarse to ultra-fine grits) to eliminate layer lines and achieve a seamless surfaceCheck parts for warping/ correct warping if needed Work with hand tools such as heat guns, loop tools, sanding screens, and various sanding spongeVisually inspect product and meet quality standardsProcessing 3d printed partsDivest printed parts from 3d printerClean extra print powder from partsPartially assemble printed partsWax/ resin infuse printed partsStore and organize printed partsMaintain clean/ organized print roomOther duties:Prep millClean mill roomPrep SLA printersClean SLA prints and prep for assembly/ finishing of SLA partsAny and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.Requirements and Qualifications:Must pass Pulmonary Function Test.
