Southeastern Michigan | Barristers Title & Settlement ServicesFull-Time | On-Site | Benefits Included* This position will be required to travel locally between residential real estate offices*Join Our Team!Barristers Land Abstract is a successful, experienced and dynamic settlement agency located throughout Southeast Michigan.We offer health benefits, 401k, paid holidays, time off and opportunities for growth!Do you possess excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment?We have an immediate opening for a Closer to coordinate and close real estate transactions for agents, buyers, and sellers in accordance with instructions contained in Purchase Agreement and instructions provided by lender, if applicable.Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:Coordinating settlementsOrdering payoffs, lien releases, and other items for closingsClearing title issuesReviewing loan documentsPreparing files for recordingReview buyer/seller documents prior to executionPrepare and review estimated settlement statementDiscuss (via phone) disbursement information, etc. with buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, etc.Follow up with lender for additional loan requirements, if anyConduct closings (some traveling required)Confirm that all loan conditions have been satisfied and obtain lender's approval to transfer title, as applicableIssue all disbursement checksVerify that all funds have been received and transaction in in balance prior to releasing final statements and checksOther knowledge, skills and abilities required are:A high school diploma or equivalentAssociate's Degree preferredA minimum of 3 years recent settlement experience is preferred but not required - we will train the right candidate!HowardHanna.comHanna Holdings, Inc. affiliates and assigns are committed to providing equal employment opportunity to all employees and applicants for employment regardless of such factors as race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, veteran's status or disability.
