Overview
We are seeking a Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Engineer for our Advanced Manufacturing Group. The role is site‑based and available at any location in the United States, with a preference for candidates near a Jacobs U.S. office.
Responsibilities
Provide VDC/BIM/Digital Delivery management and leadership by aligning technologies with internal and client objectives, define digital delivery scope for project estimates, and coordinate project technical setup and model deliverables. Lead the creation and implementation of BIM Execution Plans for EPCM; integrate VDC tasks, including 3‑D logistics, safety planning, 4‑D scheduling, 5‑D cost and quantity take‑offs; manage the Common Data Environment (Autodesk Construction Cloud); oversee clash detection and resolution; serve as BIM subject matter expert; facilitate reality capture and laser scan integration; manage model redline and as‑built processes; deliver mobile device training; and act as technology lead for on‑site technical support.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience in VDC/BIM roles within the construction industry
Strong understanding of BIM technologies and their application in manufacturing environments
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, Revizto, and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Experience with laser scanning and point cloud data management
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Track record of onsite leadership of VDC activities
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced project environment both on‑site and virtually
Experience developing and implementing BIM execution plans
Strong understanding of construction processes and MEP systems
Willingness to work on site at a project near Corpus Christi, TX
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field

Compensation
Base salary range: $111,100.00 to $145,725.00, based on location, experience, and qualifications.
