Help us reach new heights and receive the respect, rewards and recognition you deserve.The Senior AR Specialist supports the AR Manager in overseeing Accounts Receivable operations, with a primary focus on advanced collections, cash application oversight, and leadership support for the Customer Service Specialist (CSS) and Cash teams. This role also performs key monthly financial reporting activities, including rebate processing, general ledger reconciliations, and bank statement reviews.This position plays a critical role in driving financial accuracy, strengthening both internal and external customer relationships, and supporting the implementation of new processes and training initiatives. The Senior AR Specialist ensures timely issue resolution, upholds high customer service standards, and contributes to continuous improvement across Accounts Receivable functions.The Senior AR Specialist works closely with internal departments, management, sales, and operations to ensure efficient, timely processes and achievement of departmental performance metrics.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with NetSuite and prior experience in the automotive industry.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Receivable Collections (30%)Research, review, and resolve escalated internal and external customer issues in accordance with SLAs and AR objectivesDemonstrate flexibility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentAssist in leading monthly aging reviews and departmental meetingsFoster strong internal and external business relationshipsConduct account research and reconciliation activitiesAssist in overseeing Outlook shared inboxesActively work to minimize bad debt riskMaintain assigned customer accountsCoordinate with collection agencies and prepare demand letters when requiredAccounts Receivable Cash (30%)Run and review POS reportsManage and reconcile bank statementsOversee returned check processingPerform cash-related research and reconciliationsLeadership & Support (40%)Serve as a role model for excellent customer service and delivery of the company’s Customer PromiseAssist the AR Manager and Supervisors in supporting the CSS and Cash teamsCreate and maintain monthly regional and national rebate reportsAssist with onboarding and training of new hires on AR processes and reportingProvide ongoing support to AR team membersReview, analyze, and assist in approving credit and debit memosHelp establish, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)Assist with general ledger reconciliation effortsCompetenciesStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skillsStrategic thinking with solid project management capabilitiesAnalytical mindset with attention to detailAbility to prioritize, make decisions, and meet deadlinesProactive, self-motivated, and metrics-drivenCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsProfessional demeanor and positive attitudeStrong industry and product knowledgeTrusted advisor capable of influencing outcomesPosition RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or comparable related experience2–3 years of experience in Accounts ReceivableExperience in a high-volume transactional environmentIntermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with NetSuite, Power BI, Microsoft tools, and SmartsheetProven organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilitiesAbility to work independently and achieve goalsWillingness to work overtime as business needs requirePhysical Job RequirementsProlonged computer use for data entry and analysisAbility to sit for extended periodsAbility to lift and move file boxes as neededThe compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.The Starting Compensation Is Expected To Be$27.07 - $33.85/ HourThis Position Is Targeted To Close OnWe offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
