Maintenance Working Foreman

Incumbents of positions in this series oversee and participate in the work of employees engaged in the upkeep, maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures and/or building utility systems; maintain records of work progress, materials and equipment used, etc.; and perform related work as required.The basic purpose of this work is to oversee and participate in the upkeep, maintenance and repair of state buildings and related structures.Oversees and participates in the work of employees engaged in the upkeep, maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures including painting, masonry, woodwork and/or maintaining and repairing building utility systems, including heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems using power and small hand tools.Observes progress of work to evaluatve workmanship to ensure compliance with established work standards and to report progress to superiors.Reviews work orders, sketches and diagrams to determine material, equipment and personnel necessary to complete required work.Determines the need for maintenance or repair of building structures or the maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment to provide appropriate information to superiors.Maintains records on such matters as work progress, work completed, materials and equipment used, inventories and employees’ attendance.Performs related duties such as adjusting heating and/or air conditioning controls to maintain appropriate temperature; requisitioning supplies and equipment to provide appropriate information to superiors.Maintains records on such matters as work progress, work completed, materials and equipment used, inventories and employees’ attendance.Performs related duties such as adjusting heating and/or air conditioning controls to maintain appropriate temperature; requisitioning supplies and equipment; reading and interpreting blueprints and sketches; and performing preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and tools.2 Years Of Experience Required In Related Work.There is no Benefit Code01Do you have 2 years of experience in related work within the 10 year period immediately prior to filing this application?YesNo Required Question
