This role requires operating specialized floor care equipment, enforcing safety standards, coordinating daily tasks, and responding to coverage needs or special cleaning assignments across multiple sites.Floor Technician Leads are expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness, professionalism, and safety always and may be required to clean multiple areas within a worksite.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesSupervise, schedule, and site supportAct as a working lead for assigned crews and job sitesReview daily assignments with supervisor and plan work accordinglyProvide on-the-job guidance and support to team membersHelp with managing quality, safety, or completion of work.Cleaning & Floor CarePerform janitorial and floor care duties, including but not limited to:Scrubbing, stripping, waxing, buffing, shampooing, extracting, and mopping floorsOperate floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, extractors, wet vacuums, and carpet cleaning machinesPerform general cleaning and disinfecting as neededAlways maintain clean and organized work areasSafety & ComplianceFollow all company safety rules and regulations without exceptionUse required PPE, safety belts, and wet floor signage alwaysMaintain safe use of chemicals and equipmentAttend required safety training courses and meetingsReport safety concerns, incidents, or equipment issues promptlyEquipment, Inventory & VehiclesGather and use proper tools, equipment, and cleaning products for each assignmentInspect equipment to ensure proper working conditionsMaintain company vehicles in a safe, clean, and orderly conditionFlexibility & CoverageTravel between multiple job sites as neededRespond to emergencies, call-offs, and special assignmentsPerform related duties as assigned by managementRequiredQualifications & ExperienceJanitorial: 1 year (Preferred)Stripping floors: 1 year (Preferred)Waxing floors: 1 year (Preferred)Buffing floors: 1 year (Preferred)Office cleaning: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to safely operate floor care equipmentAbility to read cleaning labels and follow instructionsStrong listening and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and follow building mapsBasic mobile app experienceWork EnvironmentSmall to large commercial office environmentsFast-paced settingRegular exposure to dust, odors, noise, and equipmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive movements for extended periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 100 poundsAbility to safely operate cleaning and floor care equipmentOther DutiesThis job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
