Fabricator For The Fire Fabrication ShopShambaugh & Son is seeking a Fabricator for the Fire Fabrication Shop. In this position, you will be responsible for fabricating pipe for fire protection systems.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUse various machineryStudy and interpret assembly instructionsListen to directions from supervisorsFabricate and assemble pipe per instructionsRead parts list and determine if all parts are presentAssemble tools, materials, and various componentsInterpret measurementsVerify specificationsEnsure all parts are fitted and screwed in properlyResolve assembly and production issues, with managements assistanceTroubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as neededEnsure working environment is clean and safeReport errors in productionOther duties as assignedQualificationsRead a tape measure down to a "Be dependableGood attendance and a positive attitude are critical for this positionGood work ethic and a willingness to learnMust be able to communicate ideas, thoughts, etc. both verbally and in written formMust be able to work Saturday (will count against attendance record if missed)Must be 18 years or olderAttention to detailAbility to follow directions and communicate with othersAbility to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs regularlyAbility to stand, bend, twist, and walk for 8-12 hour shiftsRegular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
