This screener conducts behavioral health crisis assessments for minors and adults presenting through the emergency room or as walk‑ins, which serves as the sole point of entry for evaluation. Manages an active caseload of approximately 2–4 cases per day, spending 2–3 hours per case completing screenings in compliance with screening laws and agency protocols to determine involuntary inpatient commitment or safe discharge. Works closely with a supervisor and psychiatrist to review cases, provides direct support to individuals in acute crisis using trained de‑escalation and restraint techniques when necessary, and participates in community‑based assessments alongside law enforcement when required. Demonstrates strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and professionalism in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.Compensation:$32 - $35 per hour Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
