A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.Opportunity:/nRN - ER/n/nJob Details:/n• Current Maine nursing license or compact license required/n• BSN preferred/n• BLS certification required and ACLS certification preferred/n• Required immunizations: varicella 2 doses or titer, HepB 3 doses or titer or declination, MMR 2 doses or titer, Tdap, PPD 2 step or titer within past 12 months/n• Flu shot required during flu season/n• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking abilities/n• Knowledge base must include nursing assessment and skills for all age groups/n• Physical requirements include standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 lbs/n• Must have visual and hearing acuity sufficient to assess patients/n• Perform initial and ongoing age-appropriate nursing assessments/n• Develop and implement plans of care based on patient needs and physician orders/n• Document patient care activities in accordance with established standards/n• Administer medications correctly utilizing the five rights through med verify/n• Provide patient and family education as indicated/n• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding/n• Complete discharge assessments and follow-up calls to patients/n• Maintain safe working environment and ensure equipment is in working order/n• Participate in emergency/disaster preparedness planning and drills/n• Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts within 12 weeks/n/nFacility:/nThis healthcare facility provides comprehensive emergency services with a focus on quality patient care and community wellness.
