In this role, you’ll deliver high-quality, compliant design and construction documents that meet agency requirements and exceed client expectations.The Senior Project Engineer partners closely with Project Managers to guide project scope, schedule, budget, and quality while supporting teams through all phases of design and construction. Success in this role means combining strong technical expertise with clear communication, mentoring, and a commitment to design excellence.Work Location: On-site with flexible work arrangementsExpected Compensation Range: $48-72 per hour (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)Pay Rate Type: Hourly with overtime rate of 1.5x base pay for all hours worked over 40 in a weekResponsibilitiesServe as Engineer on select commercial land development projects, responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of design and construction documentsIndependently perform and oversee the preparation of preliminary and final plans in accordance with Sambatek, client, and local jurisdiction standardsPrepare and/or review project reports, specifications, and technical documentation as requiredCoordinate with Project Managers to obtain and comply with agency plan checklist requirements and ensure timely delivery of all required submittalsCollaborate with Project Managers to develop and review project scope, budgets, and schedules, working diligently to deliver projects within scope, budget, and scheduleCommunicate and coordinate project work with internal teams and other disciplines; provide technical guidance and design direction to Project Engineers and CAD TechniciansDevelop and complete project-specific quality control plans, identifying and communicating concerns or questions to the Project ManagerLead construction-phase communication and administration, including coordination with agencies and contractors, with support from the Project ManagerEnsure project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed at key milestonesFoster a collaborative project team environment that promotes communication, respect, and accountabilityRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited programProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferred10+ years of experience in a civil design engineering role, preferably in commercial land developmentAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D Experience preparing, coordinating, and completing construction document packagesStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationDemonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsCommitment to delivering high-quality work and supporting team successPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentWork is primarily xaygatp performed in an office environmentAbility to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 poundsBenefit InformationRegular full-time employees will have access to:Medical, dental, and vision plansHSA and FSA optionsEmployer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverageEmployer-paid life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment insuranceEmployee assistance programVoluntary benefits such as additional life insurance coverage, accident coverage, and critical illness coveragePaid time off and holidaysRetirement 401(k) plan with company matchStarting January 1, 2026, eligible Minnesota employees will be covered under Minnesota Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML), providing paid, job-protected time away from work for family, medical, or parental needsSambatek, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce.
