Ford utilizes 'bottom-up' technical cost modeling to evaluate material, labor, and overhead expenses, ensuring that new vehicle programs meet profitability targets while maintaining Ford's quality standards.ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll do...Must be process oriented with strong analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen with a strong ability to learn operational and strategic business issues.The Cost Engineer/Cost Analyst for this position must have experience in more than one of the following:BIW Stamping and sheet metal productsAssembly integration and optimizationAll forms of metal casting: Ferrous, AL, MgExtrusionsMachiningRoll formingPlating and coatingsMetallurgistExperience using Estimating Software to develop should cost estimates such as FACTON, ARRORI, SIEMANS.Ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs of components by reviewing drawings, engineering specifications, and functional requirements.Demonstrate a proven grasp of business concepts as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills.Ability to assess cost benefit analysis of different supplier manufacturing methods.Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.QualificationsYou'll have...Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical achievements; or a combination of equivalent education and experience.10+ years of business and/or engineering, or an undergraduate degree in Technical Schools with 5+ years of Automotive manufacturing experienceProficiency in lean manufacturingProficiency in data analysisYou may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
