This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications and databases, ensuring high performance and reliability.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and Develop: Build and maintain cloud-native applications and services using AWS technologies, Aurora PostgreSQL and Oracle 19c.Database Expertise: Implement and optimize relational database solutions on Aurora PostgreSQL, including schema design, query tuning, and migration tasks.Cloud Architecture: Leverage AWS services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, DMS, Glue, etc.) to design secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions.Agile Delivery: Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning, and deliver high-quality code in iterative cycles.Java Development: Write production-ready Java code for APIs, microservices, and backend systems following best practices.Automation & CI/CD: Implement automated testing and deployment pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Maven, and Git.Collaboration: Work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical solutions.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree, or equivalent work experienceThree to five years of relevant experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceHands-on experience with Aurora PostgreSQL RDS, Oracle RDS and relational database design.Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services and cloud-native application development.Proficiency in Java, including frameworks like Spring Boot.Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect).Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in cloud environments.Strong: Ability to clearly articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and embracing new technologies.Team Player: Values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and supporting team success.Ownership & Accountability: Takes initiative and responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes.Continuous Learning: Passion for staying current with industry trends and improving technical and interpersonal skills.Customer-Centric Approach: Understands business needs and strives to deliver solutions that create value.Location ExpectationsThis role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.BenefitsHealthcare (medical, dental, vision)Basic term and optional term life insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityPregnancy disability and parental leave401(k) and employer-funded retirement planPaid vacation (from two to five weeks depending on salary grade and tenure)Up to 11 paid holiday opportunitiesAdoption assistanceSick and Safe Leave accruals of one hour for every 30 worked, up to 80 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by lawU.S. Bank is an equal opportunity employer.
