Estimator | Paving and Sitework | Winter Haven, FL $70,000 $100,000 base salary range Blayze Group is partnering with a well-established paving contractor in the Central Florida market to appoint an Estimator supporting a growing pipeline of paving and sitework projects across the Winter Haven region. The business has built a strong reputation through consistent production, disciplined bidding strategy, and repeat work across municipal and commercial clients. With an active backlog and continued growth across infrastructure and development projects, this position plays a critical role in securing profitable work and maintaining margin through accurate and competitive estimating. The Role: Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for paving, grading, and sitework scopes Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope requirements and risk Solicit, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing Build comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and production rates Develop competitive bid submissions aligned with company production capability and margin targets Review historical cost data and production metrics to support accurate pricing Coordinate with operations and project management teams during bid development Support handoff of awarded projects including scope review and subcontractor alignment Maintain relationships with local subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors Background Sought: 3+ years of estimating experience within paving, site development, or heavy civil construction Strong understanding of production rates, material quantities, and equipment utilization Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid packages Experience with takeoff and estimating software Commercial awareness with the ability to balance competitiveness and margin Strong attention to detail and ability to work under bid deadlines Excellent communication skills working across internal teams and external partners Why This Opportunity:This is an opportunity to join a contractor with a strong presence in a growing Florida market and a consistent pipeline of infrastructure and development work.
