Step into a high‑impact role whereinstrumentation and controls expertise takes center stage. As aSenior I&C Technician, you’ll lead the troubleshooting, optimization, and integration of PLCs, control networks, HMIs, drives, and automation systems that keep a modern GMP facility running. This role goes far beyond routine calibration—it’s about solving complex control issues, improving automation reliability, and driving the performance of advanced manufacturing equipment.Your responsibilities
Assist with configuring, programming, installing, testing, and commissioning PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation, while maintaining accurate control logic, wiring diagrams, loop sheets, and system configuration records.
Diagnose, repair, and maintain electronic/electrical control systems; perform preventive and predictive maintenance; respond to failures with root‑cause analysis; and coordinate I&C work orders with maintenance teams and contractors.
Ensure all I&C work complies with NEC, OSHA, GMP, and company safety standards; support audits, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls; and participate in LOTO, confined space, and site risk‑assessment activities.
Identify and implement automation reliability improvements and downtime reduction initiatives, including use of advanced diagnostics such as smart sensors, vibration monitoring, and thermography.
Support capital projects and equipment upgrades by providing I&C expertise, developing job plans and safety requirements, and contributing to OEE and proactive maintenance initiatives.
This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.The experience we're looking for
Associate’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, or related field—or equivalent hands‑on experience; bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering preferred.
6–10+ years of experience in instrumentation, controls, automation, or electrical systems within manufacturing (pharma, chemical, food, or industrial environments preferred).
Experience applying root‑cause analysis in troubleshooting and resolving equipment or system issues.
Working experience with PLCs, DCS platforms, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, motor controls, HART tools, and NEC electrical code requirements.
Background working with GMP documentation systems, regulatory compliance expectations, and CMMS platforms such as SAP.
Certification experience such asISA CCSTorCMRPpreferred.The skills for success
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and operate effectively in dynamic manufacturing environments.
Understanding of industrial communication networks (Profibus DP/PA, Profinet, Modbus RTU/TCP, industrial Ethernet).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
Proficiency using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Strong communication and collaboration abilities across technical and non‑technical teams.What we offer

Hiring range:$37.50 - 47.00 DOEUS pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
