Job Description
Salary:Job Summary:Assist mechanics to position, align, and fit together construction components to complete the installation of systems and work assigned in a timely and quality fashion.Responsibilities:Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.Places and moves, equipment and materials.Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers parts together; uses tools and equipment properly and only if certified (as required).Transports and furnishes mechanics with materials, tools, and supplies.Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment; ensures that tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.Performs other routine duties.Comply with company policies and procedures, especially safety rules.Ability to inspect tools.Ability to anticipate what mechanic needs next.Qualifications:Two to three years experience.Willingness to learn.Willingness to install different sheet metal systems.Sheet metal HammerRight and left-handed snipsScrewdriver setTape Measure 25'Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places.
