Join our growing team supporting customer missions as a SME Software Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia.We are seeking a Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting the Sponsor’s Entitlement Programs as well as IdAM /ICAM, Authentication, Authorization, Attributes and Digital Policy Management. The Software Engineer will work with a large team of developers, software engineers and data engineers. The successful candidate will support continuity of our customer’s mission by helping to modernize and implement industry standards while ensuring secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of IT systems.Primary ResponsibilitiesComfort and familiarity in maintaining legacy applicationsExperience in modernization of legacy applicationsAbility to write custom scripts to install and configure code in EC2 instancesExperience leveraging Amazon Web ServicesExperience creating RESTful APIExperience with spring bootDevelop Java and Angular (Typescript) that leverage ElasticsearchComfort and familiarity designing and utilizing custom ETL methodologyStrong communication, design, and documentation skillsStrong time and workflow management skillsComfort and familiarity in unit testing, peer code review, and automated testing techniques like Selenium (create, edit, maintain, execute)Work within the parameters of Agile & Scrum methodologiesWillingness to mentor and teach junior developers’ community best practices in a constructive fashionAbility to methodically think through new and exciting challenges in a collaborative team environment in order to provide technically sound solutionsRequired Qualifications BS degree and 16+ years of relevant experienceMust have experience with Java, spring boot, Angular (Typescript), and the Cloud / Amazon Web ServicesPrior experience reading and developing solutions to customer requirements and specificationsPrior experience developing custom ETLKnowledge of Git, Jenkins, selenium, and RundeckExperiencing working in Command Line (RH Linux)Desired QualificationsUnderstanding and knowledge with Identity and Accessibility development practicesExperience with automation methodologies like seleniumExperience with containerization and modular developmentFamiliarity with UI/UX DesignFull Stack DevelopmentCertification - Amazon Web Services (AWS)BCore is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
