The CAM Engineer can undertake complex jobs or jobs that involve sequential lamination, book binders, and high layer counts.What You'll DoUse CAM software to perform design rule analysis of printed circuit boardsUpon receipt of traveler from planning, verify customer requirements with CAM documents package to detect discrepancies; verify manufacturabilityReport discrepancies to planning for deviationsModify various aspects of PCB image such as line widths, pad sizes, etch comp, and annular ring to ensure compliance with engineering standardsCreate computer files to panelize data and output drill, AOI, and test dataComplete all internal department documentation accuratelyWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED5+ years of experience in the PCB industry or manufacturingWorking knowledge of the PCB industry and processes3+ years of CAM experience in the PCB manufacturing sector, with hands-on experience in both rigid and rigid-flex PCBsProven ability to work independently and effectively in a remote work environmentWillingness and ability to travel to our facility on a regular basis for team meetings, training, and role-related needsStrong adaptability, particularly with evolving manufacturing and CAM technologiesAttention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to quickly adapt in a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility to read mechanical and electrical blueprintsProficient in Microsoft OfficeTeam playerPreferred QualificationsTechnical certificate or Associate's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related fieldCoursework in engineering drafting or design, AutoCAD, electric circuits, computer-aided manufacturing, manufacturing or process engineering, or similar coursesSchedule1st Shift (7:30am – 4:00pm)Overtime and Saturdays as business requiresLocationCandidates located anywhere in the U.S. will be consideredRemote candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully working in a remote environment and be willing to travel to our California facility on a regular basis.Pay$25–$35+ USD per hour, depending on experience and qualificationsThe actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.Pioneer Circuits provides a comprehensive benefits package for all full-time roles, encompassing healthcare, dental, and vision insurance for employees and eligible dependents.
