This role is essential in supporting our physicians and ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of care in a warm, efficient, and professional environment.The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a collaborative healthcare setting, enjoys patient interaction, and takes pride in maintaining an organized and well-prepared clinical space.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care SupportEscort patients from the waiting area to the examination room.Take and accurately document vital signs, height, and weight.Prepare patients for examinations and treatments as directed by providers.Clinical OperationsMaintain exam rooms between visits, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next patient.Manage medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring all tools are available and properly maintained.Perform phlebotomy (draw blood), EKGs, and assist with specimen collection and processing as needed.Administrative CoordinationAnswer and route phone calls appropriately; escalate clinical inquiries to nurses or providers as needed.Assist with scheduling appointments, pre-certifications, referrals, and follow-ups.Process prior authorizations for medications and support providers with prescription monitoring programs.Conduct patient recalls for well visits or follow-up appointments.Compliance and Professional StandardsAdhere to Ezra Medical Center's compliance program, policies, and procedures.Report any conduct or event that may violate legal or compliance requirements.Uphold Ezra's values of integrity, compassion, and excellence in patient care.QualificationsEducation:MA/Technician Certificate, High School Diploma, College Diploma, or equivalent experience.Experience:Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting preferred.Skills:Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask effectively and work well in a fast-paced environment.Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.Bilingual proficiency is a plus, but not required.BenefitsAs a full-time team member at Ezra Medical Center, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package, including:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceAdditional DetailsWork Location: We have three locations where you could potentially work with us.1312 38th Street, Brooklyn, NY 112181278 60th Street, Brooklyn, NY 112195115 15th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11219COVID-19 Protocols: PPE provided, temperature checks, and social distancing enforcedApply TodayAre you passionate about patient care and ready to make a meaningful difference in your community?Join Ezra Medical Center as our new Medical Assistant and become part of a supportive, mission-driven team.
