This role is critical in ensuring the continuous availability of specialized mission-critical systems that directly impact production and research. You will provide high-level technical oversight, lifecycle management, and "Smart Hands" support within regulated environments, ensuring that all technology deployments adhere to rigorous safety and compliance standards.Core CompetenciesThe successful candidate must demonstrate proficiency in the following:Specialized Hardware: Support for Zebra printers, ruggedized tablets, scanners, and PCs integrated with specialized laboratory test equipment.Infrastructure Support: L1/L2 troubleshooting for network devices (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, WAPs) and Data Center "Rack and Stack" operations.AV & Collaboration: Advanced troubleshooting of enterprise AV systems, including Tandberg video units, amplifiers, and integrated boardroom technology.Asset Management: End-to-end IT Asset Management (ITAM), including secure storage, imaging, hygiene validation, and compliant disposal.Operational Methodology: Familiarity with 5S (LEAN) methodologies and enterprise power shutdown maintenance.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Continuity: Deliver advanced root-cause analysis for IT device incidents on manufacturing lines to minimize downtime during P1/P2 events.Regulated Environment Support: Operate within Clean Room and Laboratory settings, strictly adhering to site-specific entry procedures and PPE requirements.Smart Hands & Feet: Provide physical onsite support for Network and Server teams, including cable patching, vendor escorting to IDF/MDF rooms, and hardware commissioning.Asset Lifecycle Coordination: Manage the regional IT asset portfolio, ensuring all system updates and recovery processes are documented and secure.Network Maintenance: Execute basic troubleshooting of LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and perform physical installations of infrastructure components.Vendor Liaison: Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors for print service continuity and high-priority hardware repairs.Technical Depth & ComplianceRegulatory Standards: Mandatory adherence to GxP and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) protocols.Change Control: Strict compliance with approved maintenance windows; no unauthorized reboots or patching of PCs/Servers.Technical Environment: Advanced Microsoft environment support (Server/Desktop) and management of isolated networks often found in Manufacturing/Lab (MLL) sites.Safety & Quality: Consistent application of safety protocols when transporting equipment and maintaining organized IT work environments via LEAN principles.Professional RequirementsExperience: A minimum of 4 years in a technical support role, ideally within a manufacturing, distribution, or laboratory setting.Communication: Advanced verbal and written skills to collaborate effectively with global Network and Server teams.Flexibility: Ability to support two primary locations (Cambridge and Danvers) and work fully onsite five days a week.Detail Orientation: A strong focus on quality and precision, essential for working in highly regulated pharmaceutical environments.
