Start Date: School Year Hours Needed: Full Time General Job Responsibilities: Diagnostic evaluations, Screenings (PT's) Small group, in class or individual therapy with identified students, Record keeping for student attendance for therapy, Preparation of therapy plans, Completion of progress reports and therapy notes. Attendance and participation in required multidisciplinary team meetings, including IEP meetings/ 504 Plans Preparation of paperwork related to eligibility and discontinuation/dismissal meetings, Participation in school-based response to intervention activities, Attendance at approved District in-service meetings, as requested, Consulting with parents, school/District staff, physicians, medical equipment vendors, ordering appropriate adaptive equipment School related duties, as requested, and Flexibility to drive to schools as needed access and general knowledge of technology applicant must have a current license to practice SLP/ ST in the state of Florida Speech Language Pathology Therapists are members of a multidisciplinary school team that ensures FAPE which stands for free and appropriate education for all students including students with disabilities to prepare them for further education, employment and independent living.
