This role is centered around non-sterile compounding oversight, production support, and pharmacist verification, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient preparation of customized medications.The Non-Sterile Pharmacist will play an active role within the lab environment, overseeing compounding activities, reviewing formulations, and supporting pharmacy technicians in day-to-day production. This individual will also perform pharmacist verification (PV1/PV2) and ensure all compounded medications meet USP , regulatory, and internal quality standards.This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced compounding pharmacy environment, requiring both operational awareness and attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and support non-sterile compounding operations, including creams, gels, suspensions, capsules, troches, and other customized dosage formsReview formulations, ingredient calculations, and compounding processes to ensure accuracy and consistencyProvide hands-on guidance and support to pharmacy technicians during compounding activitiesEnsure all compounds meet USP , state pharmacy regulations, and internal SOPsPerform pharmacist verification (PV1 and/or PV2) for completed prescriptionsReview prescriptions for appropriateness, dosing accuracy, and complianceMonitor compounding workflow to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely productionIdentify, document, and resolve compounding errors, discrepancies, or process issuesMaintain accurate compounding records, batch documentation, and verification logsSupport inventory awareness of raw materials and assist with proper utilization within the labCollaborate with pharmacy and operations leadership to improve workflow, quality, and scalability of compounding processesRequired QualificationsActive New York Pharmacist license in good standingExperience in pharmacy operations, compounding, or production environmentsStrong understanding of pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance standardsHigh attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong communication skills and ability to support and guide pharmacy techniciansAbility to follow SOPs and maintain consistent documentation standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience in a non-sterile compounding pharmacyFamiliarity with USP standardsExperience with PV1 and PV2 workflowsHands-on experience in compounding production environmentsExperience with customized medications and formulation reviewExperience using pharmacy software systemsJob DetailsJob Type: Full TimeSchedule: Monday through FridayLocation: Bellmore, NYWork Hours: 8am - 4pmBenefits401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWhy Join UsAs part of Precision Medicine, you’ll be at the heart of an exciting transformation in the telemedicine landscape.
