This is a great opportunity to intern for a large construction company with end users working throughout Southern California. The Intern, under the direction and mentorship of the IT Specialist, will work with end users to replace their existing mobile devices and process shipment/receipt of equipment. This position will need to coordinate with other employees regarding their requests and collect/convey information on the progress of their submissions. Additionally, this person will work on archival/disposal processing of equipment that is determined to be End of Life.Ready to kickstart your future? Apply today!Position RequirementsJob Duties and Responsibilities:Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware-related issues via phone, FaceTime, Teams, etc.Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware and softwareMonitor system performance and troubleshoot any issuesFollow established procedures and processes for computer maintenanceProvide training and support to team members on the use of company systems and softwarePerform system backups and maintain accurate recordsResearch and recommend solutions for technical problemsInventory Management: shipping and receiving; inventory audits; and inventory refurbishingTechnical Tasks: RMM Deployments; Software Updates; and System ConfigurationsHelpdesk Tasks: User Coordination; Basic Troubleshooting; and Phone SupportRequired occasionally to lift and/or move up 50 poundsQualifications:In-process degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldKnowledge of computer systems and softwareKnowledge of network and system securityFamiliarity with hardware and software installationExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and remain calm during high volume timesAble to learn quickly and adapt to changing technologyThis is an in-person, part-time internship position located in Valencia, CA and requires US work authorization.
