DescriptionSummaryThe Avionics Team Lead will directly supervise Avionics Technicians assigned to their team and work collaboratively with the Maintenance Team Leads. This position is responsible for performing, assisting, supervising, and advising on all maintenance and upgrades assigned to them. These activities must be done while maintaining a positive and productive relationship with ACI Jet’s employees, vendors, and clients by personally performing these duties or through subordinate staff members.Reports ToThe Avionics Lead Technician reports directly to the Avionics Manager.RequirementsEssential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management)Reports daily to their respective Maintenance Team Lead or the Avionics Manager.Completes assigned tasks in accordance with the procedures set forth in ACI Jet’s various maintenance manuals (Repair Station & Quality Control Manual and Air Carrier Operations General Maintenance Manual). Complies with all FARs, Operations Specifications, Company Policies, and Company Procedures.Ensures that the appropriate technical data is available during the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alteration activities.Ensures the shop premises are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.Ensures that all maintenance or alteration processes are appropriately completed and documented electronically on the maintenance forms as set forth in ACI Jet’s manuals.Determines whether a hidden damage inspection should be performed, what should be done, and properly performs the maintenance.Submits all required work orders, reports, and other forms to the appropriate company authority in an organized and timely manner.Maintains a close, productive, and beneficial relationship with ACI Jet managers, peers, colleagues, manufacturer’s representatives, repair facilities, and the FAA.Ensures the safety and quality of all assigned duties and responsibilities by actively and positively participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS program.RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and ExperienceA passion for aviation.High School Diploma or equivalent.5-10 years of experience as an A&P mechanicActual work experience must include troubleshooting, the use of specialized tools, ground support equipment, and the use of aircraft maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, technical reports, and forms.Experience with a variety of avionics systems and testsExperience supervising two or more avionics techniciansProfessional appearanceCritical time management and logistical problem-solving skillsAttention to detail with a focus on safety and quality of workMust have a valid Driver’s LicenseMust be able to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.Must be a self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance.Must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask.Must be computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software).Must be able to lift 50 pounds, climb, kneel, squat, and stand for extended periods.Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English at an advanced level.Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.Highly DesirableAero-IT CertificationAEA CAET CertificationFAR 135 Maintenance ExperienceGulfstream, Cessna, and Bombardier factory trainingCollege or Technical degree preferredElectrical Drafting and CAD experience Equal Employment OpportunityACI Jet is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on any protected characteristic, including race, religion, color, national origin, disability, sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, or veteran status.
