SEL Specialist (Social Worker, Psychologist, Counselor)
Social And Emotional Learning Specialist The SEL Specialist develops and maintains an educational program that teaches students social-emotional competencies and provides training in data collection, positive behavior supports, intervention techniques, and instructional methodologies for educational staff. The SEL Specialist will perform duties and responsibilities associated with the teaching profession, as outlined in District 69 policies and as required by the Illinois School Code. Organizational Relationship: The SEL Specialist reports directly to the Building Administration and the Related Services Coordinator. Qualifications: Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator Licensure - School Support Personnel Endorsement (Type 73) Solutions-focused approach to supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of all children Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically, etc.) student population Salary: $62,879 (BA, 1) minimum annually with benefits.
