Senior Data Integration Engineer (Informatica, Snowflake & ETL Analytics)
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote) Duration: Contract through August 2027 (Potential Extension) Hours: Up to 2,008 Hours | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST Interview Mode: In-PersonWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Integration Engineer to support enterprise-scale data integration, analytics, and performance management initiatives in a complex public-sector environment. This role is ideal for professionals with deep expertise in Informatica ETL development, Snowflake SQL, data warehousing, and enterprise analytics systems, combined with strong systems analysis and technical leadership capabilities.The selected candidate will support the continued development and enhancement of an enterprise data integration hub, enabling automated data acquisition, transformation, validation, and reporting across multiple systems and technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical lead within an Agile development environment, guiding data engineering and integration efforts across projects.Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS.Acquire, integrate, and transform data from multiple enterprise data sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF-based datasets.Design and optimize complex Snowflake SQL scripts for scalable, high-performance data processing.Develop and maintain dimensional data models, database views, and materialized views to support analytics and reporting.Collaborate with architects, developers, and data engineering teams to implement scalable and efficient data integration strategies.Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies, backlog refinement, requirements gathering, and solution design sessions.Translate evolving business requirements into technical solutions and recommend enhancements to improve system performance and usability.Develop mockups and collaborate with business users for validation of requirements and reporting outputs.Perform verification and validation of SQL scripts, ETL processes, automation, and database views.Build automated methods for testing, quality assurance, and validation of data integration processes.Produce and maintain technical documentation, specifications, diagrams, workflows, and process maps.Assist with implementation and configuration of development and integration tools.Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data and system challenges.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or IICS.8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple sources and technologies for enterprise analytics or visualization platforms.8+ years of experience designing and developing complex, high-performance Snowflake SQL scripts.8+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst or Data Analyst supporting data analytics, performance management, or data warehousing projects.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate business requirements and design scalable technical solutions.Experience producing technical documentation, diagrams, process flows, and system models using tools such as Visio, Erwin, and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience planning and delivering software or data platforms across multiple business functions.Proven ability to write efficient, testable, and maintainable code following software development best practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in Agile/Scrum sprint teams.Experience handling PII/PHI or sensitive healthcare-related data.Knowledge of healthcare, performance analytics, or business intelligence environments.Experience with Python scripting for automation or data engineering.Experience using JIRA for Agile project tracking.Familiarity with REST/SOAP web services and API integrations.Experience with Java and JavaScript development.Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.Exposure to MuleSoft integrations.Experience using AI-assisted data engineering tools, such as Snowflake Cortex/Intelligence or Informatica Claire.Prior public-sector or highly regulated industry experience is a plus.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).Work Location & RequirementsHybrid schedule: 3 days onsite (Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday) and 2 days remote.Candidates must currently reside in Texas and be local to the Austin area (within 50 miles).Candidates planning to relocate will not be considered.Work location: Austin, TX.Occasional after-hours, weekend, or holiday work may be required with prior approval.Additional InformationAll work products created during the engagement will be considered works made for hire.
