The Optometrist will work collaboratively with MD and OD colleagues, utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, and be supported by our experienced team to provide excellent clinical outcomes and ensure high patient satisfaction. You will work closely with our glaucoma, oculoplastic, cornea, and refractive surgery specialists who will provide guidance and training as needed.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive eye examinations including contact lenses and prisms.Provide post-operative care for routine surgical patients mostly cataract and YAG capsulotomies.Utilize and interpret diagnostic testing, including OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, and other ophthalmic imagingProvide care for glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, and cornea patientsEducate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive eye care in a clear and compassionate mannerDocument all findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR)Stay current with advancements in optometry and ophthalmology through continuing educationQualificationsDoctor of Optometry (OD) degreeActive and unrestricted Illinois licensure to practice optometryExperience in a medical ophthalmology setting is a plusInterest or experience in dry eye management preferredCommitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered careExcellent patient clinical communication skillsResidency completion is a plusCompensation and Benefits $140 to $170 base salary based on experience plus production bonus· Monday through Friday; no nights no weekends· Employer Contribution Medical and Dental Health Benefits· PTO· 401K· Paid Licensure· CME annual allowance· Company sponsored Short Term Disability Insurance· Company sponsored Life Insurance· Employee Discounts
