In-House Counsel
A well‑established, global organization operating in a highly technical, manufacturing‑led environment is seeking an experienced In‑House Legal Counsel to support its U.S. operations.This role offers the opportunity to act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, partnering closely with business, procurement, finance, and HR teams while collaborating with a global legal function. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial judgment, hands‑on contract expertise, and the ability to navigate a complex, multinational operating environment.What you'll be doingProvide day‑to‑day legal advice to U.S. leadership and internal stakeholders across a broad range of mattersDraft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including customer, supplier, and licensing contractsSupport strategic initiatives and new business activities from a legal and risk perspectiveIdentify legal risks and provide practical, business‑focused solutions aligned with organizational objectivesEnsure compliance with applicable U.S. laws, internal policies, and group governance standards, including corporate, commercial, data privacy, and competition lawsAdvise on U.S. employment matters, including workplace policies, employee relations, disciplinary processes, and terminationsManage external counsel and oversee litigation, disputes, and regulatory inquiries as requiredAssist with corporate governance matters and maintenance of corporate recordsMonitor legal and regulatory developments impacting U.S. operationsContribute to the development and rollout of internal policies, procedures, and training programsCollaborate closely with a global legal and compliance team to ensure consistency and alignment across regionsWhat you'll need to succeedJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in California10+ years of legal experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in‑house rolesStrong background in commercial contracts and corporate lawExperience supporting complex, operationally intensive businesses (e.g., manufacturing, industrial, technology hardware, or similarly regulated environments)Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, pragmatic business adviceComfortable operating in a matrixed, multinational organizationStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsHigh standards of ethics, discretion, and professional judgmentWhat you'll get in returnBroad, hands‑on legal remit with real ownership and visibilityDirect exposure to senior decision‑makers in the U.S. businessOpportunity to work within a global organization while maintaining strong local influenceStable, long‑term environment with meaningful commercial complexityCompetitive compensation and benefitsWhat to do nowInterested?
