Our team works collaboratively with public agencies and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable standards.Position OverviewDabri, Inc. is seeking an Project Engineer to support future public sector construction projects throughout California. This role is responsible for ensuring construction activities comply with approved plans, specifications, applicable building codes, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of construction practices, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives.This is an on-site position supporting active construction projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the Project Manager/Resident Engineer with daily project coordinationReview, log, and track submittals, RFIs, design changes, and change ordersAssist in preparing meeting agendas, recording minutes, and distributing action itemsMaintain accurate project documentation, reports, and correspondenceMonitor contractor performance and compliance with plans/specificationsCoordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and agency representativesSupport cost tracking, schedule updates, and progress reportingPrepare technical reports, project status updates, and presentationsAssist with project closeout, including collection and review of as-built drawings and manualsEnsure all work is performed in compliance with agency requirements, codes, and safety standardsSkills & AbilitiesStrong working knowledge of building codes and construction methodsHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple inspections and prioritiesProficiency in preparing technical reports and documentationMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in construction or engineering projects (healthcare experience a plus, but not required)Strong written and verbal communication skills — ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and provide clear project documentationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related fieldFamiliarity with public works processes, codes, and contract compliance requirementsProficiency with construction/project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Prolog, MS Office, Primavera P6)Self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and proactive problem solverValid California Driver’s LicenseU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (no visa sponsorship available)Additional InformationThis is an on-site position; remote work is not availableProject based position Dabri, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to workplace diversityNo relocation or visa sponsorship assistance is availableHow to ApplyPlease submit the following:Résumé (Word)List of ICC certificationsRelevant project experience and project details Desired hourly rate or salary range3 professional references with updated contact information (email and phone number), including details of relation.
