Flotech is a subsidiary of FloWorks International LLC, which is a privately held company located in Houston, Texas.  Job InformationThe Machinist is responsible for operating machines in support of daily valve repair operations.  The machinist is expected to perform hands-on machining operations, as well as perform some duties of a valve technician.   Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the fabrication of various components of valvesResponsible for the daily operations of various manual machines, including but not limited to lathes, vertical turret lathes, milling machines, drill press & radial arm drillsPerform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of valves at Flotech facilities and client locationsFollow all schematics and documented procedures in accordance with all Quality Control and ASME National Board standards that apply to the jobThoroughly complete all calibration and documentation associated with testing and repairsTravel to job sites and adhere to all site safety and performance requirementsCommunicate timely updates to management, co-workers and customers to ensure timely and successful completion of job responsibilitiesWorks closely with co-workers, management and safety coordinator to ensure compliance with OSHA and other safety regulations Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED and at least five (5) years of machinist experience, or equivalent number of years of education and experienceProficient in use of multiple manual machines in an industrial setting.  Extensive knowledge of machining is a mustPrefer experience with machining specifically for valve repairValid Driver’s License and willingness to travel for off-site jobsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
