Dental Hygienist$65K - $87K per year + Comprehensive Benefits PackageFull Time. 4/10 hour days.Pittsburgh, PAWe are seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to provide high-quality preventive and therapeutic dental care within a community health center setting. This role focuses on delivering patient-centered oral healthcare, supporting overall clinic operations, and participating in community dental health education initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in accordance with licensure and established dental hygiene protocolsConduct comprehensive oral assessments, including medical history review, dental and periodontal chartingTake and interpret radiographs and intraoral imagesPerform prophylaxis, scaling and root planning, debridement, fluoride treatments, and sealantsMonitor blood pressure and assess overall oral health status at each visitEducate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive careDocument all clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient interactions in the electronic dental recordCoordinate referrals to specialists and ensure appropriate follow-upMaintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of instrumentsSupport clinic operations, including recall systems, supply management, and operatory organizationAssist during peak clinic times and collaborate with dental assistants and providersParticipate in community dental education programsQualificationsCompletion of an accredited Dental Hygiene programActive Pennsylvania Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) licenseCurrent CPR certificationLocal anesthesia certification preferredExperience in a community health or public health setting preferredStrong knowledge of dental procedures, infection control standards, and periodontal therapiesProficiency with digital dental records and radiography systemsAbility to work independently while collaborating within a team environmentStrong communication skills and ability to work with diverse patient populationsBenefits100% employer-paid medical coverage (UPMC)100% employer-paid dental (United Concordia)100% employer-paid short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insuranceVoluntary vision coverage (VBA)Medical and Dependent Care FSA and HRA options2 weeks paid parental leave20 days (4 weeks) of PTO during first two years12 paid holidays annually401(k) with 4% employer match
