Trainers will assist in the learning process.Assembly/ResizeAssembles/Resizes parts, such as handles, blades, gears, or springs to assemble firearm magazinesResizes parts using gauges to analyze the different dimensions of the parts to meet customer specificationsPositions parts together, following guides such as holes, edges, and prongs. Inspects assembled parts for quality and accuracyAir Press NotcherChecks the Air Press Notcher to ensure that the machine is ready for useChecks the die to ensure that the correct tool matches the production run per customer requirementsEnsures there is no debris in the Air Press Notcher by wiping or blowing it out with air hose to remove any metal, tabs and/or trashLubricates the Air Press using a lubrication solutionWelderWelds or tack-welds overlapping edges of positioned components to fabricate sheet metal assemblies, such as magazine tubes used for the firearm industryOperates welder (s) by placing the magazine tube inside of the welder. Activates the welder by pressing the start button and monitoring the time to weld the partBlack OxideInterfaces with controls to start, stop and run equipmentEnsures that water valves are turned on or off, as neededVerifies liquid levels within plating tanksMoves racks from one end of the line to the otherCleans racks between individual plating tanksTumblingEvaluates the quality of products being tumbled. Understands and can recognize acceptable quality standardsIdentifies if equipment is not operating properly by evaluating all contributing factors and determining the best path forward to keep the line running and minimizing the creating of reworked partsLoads the tumblers with magazine parts to meet specified run scheduleAssists in cleaning the equipmentMinimum Requirements:Must be 18 years of age and/orenrolled in the Work Based Learning Program (Thomas County or Thomasville City Schools)Fine motor dexterity skills required to maintain quality and productivityBasic problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong interpersonal skills; Conflict resolution skillsWritten and verbal communication skillsAble to multi-task, adaptable and an analytical thinkerAble to utilize Micrometers, gauges, and other hand-tools for measuring and inspectingAble to read and following instructions outlined in production documentsWork Shifts:Candidates can choose the following shifts:20 hours per weekMonday through Friday 4:30-8:30 pm24 hours per weekTuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (3:30 pm-12.00 p.m.)Summer Shift availablePay:$16.20/hour (paid weekly)EOE/AA/M/F/ET/DPowered by JazzHRSP92MEo2cq
