(FB Timberline) is seeking a full-time, permanent Materials Coordinator to support operations on transmission line construction projects based out of South Carolina. This role involves a blend of field and office responsibilities, including working in yard environments on-site as well as remote work from home when field presence is not required.What We Offer:Competitive hourly wage ($22.60–$40.76)$150 LOA (when applicable)Enrolment in 401(k) planComprehensive benefits packagePaid time off (PTO)Family-oriented workplaceOpportunity for career growth and developmentPOSITION SUMMARYReporting to Material Manager / Project Manager and working daily with Operations and Project Management - the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project materials are managed through the materials protocols consistent with the Forbes Supply Chain Management (SCM) system to ensure there are no shortages at the projects. They will also maintain a Just in Time (JIT) methodology that Forbes SCM promotes.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESField Safety Leadership & ComplianceWork with the Forbes Bros SCM team and collaborate with internal business unit partners to implement the most effective material delivery and storageUnderstand the key drivers of the Distribution areas and Transmission projects being supported to identify and address current and future materials demandsCoordinate with operations for delivery of material to projectsAssist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating material deliveries for projectsMeet the demands of multiple internal and external partners, with the appropriate sense of urgency; educate internal partners on material procedures and ensure adherence to these proceduresEnsure that all material activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement planTraining & Documentation ManagementMaintain the recertification logs, project specific, for speciality toolsMaintain client vendor relationship to ensure vendor inventory management systems are not compromisedEnsure inventory is tracked to prevent shortages or excess inventoryCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementClearly demonstrate the capabilities to work within cross functional teams, with a continuous improvement mindsetWork safely and contribute to safety improvement initiativesESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma. Certificate or Diploma in Materials or Supply Chain Management considered an asset or combination of years of experience and educationMinimum three (3) to five (5) years' materials knowledge and experience in direct categories such as, but not limited to: Transmission and Distribution Maintenance Repair and Construction Field ServicesPrior knowledge and experience in indirect categories such as, but not limited to: IT Software & Hardware, Corporate Goods & ServicesSkills & AbilitiesStrong knowledge of provincial and federal regulations, codes, permits and approvals; as well as their technical applicationWork safely and ability to recognize safety hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards on site or in officeStrong listening, problem solving and time management skills with the ability to meet various deadlinesStrong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate in a professional mannerAbility to work with independently or within a team environment with minimal supervision and establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersAble and willing to travel and work frequent overtime and weekend hours to accommodate project schedules and/or business needsExcellent analytic skills and the ability to organize and express ideas clearlyADDITIONAL DETAILSThis position requires candidates to:Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to obtain clearance for site accessHave and maintain a valid driver's licences and acceptable abstractRequires regular travel to various project sites and office locations
