Facilities Technician – Casino Hotel
Location: Carson City, NV, 89701Position SummaryThe Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the casino hotel’s physical property, systems, and equipment. This role ensures a safe, comfortable, and fully operational environment for guests and team members across gaming areas, hotel rooms, restaurants, and back-of-house spaces.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipmentRespond promptly to maintenance requests from the hotel, casino floor, restaurants, and public areasConduct daily inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues proactivelyMaintain slot floor infrastructure, lighting, signage, and guest-facing amenitiesTroubleshoot and repair equipment failures with minimal disruption to operationsAssist with preventative maintenance programs to extend equipment life and reduce downtimeEnsure compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and OSHA standardsMaintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairsCoordinate with outside vendors and contractors when neededSupport event setups, promotions, and special projects as requiredMaintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and toolsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience (hospitality or casino experience a plus)Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systemsAbility to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsBasic computer skills for work orders and reporting systemsStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsSkills & AbilitiesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyGood communication skills with both guests and team membersAbility to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, 24/7 environmentFlexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and varying temperaturesManual dexterity for handling tools and equipmentWork EnvironmentFast-paced casino and hotel setting with 24/7 operationsExposure to noise, crowds, and varying environmental conditionsMay require on-call or emergency response dutiesPreferred Certifications (Optional)EPA Certification (HVAC)OSHA Safety TrainingElectrical or Plumbing Certification```
