MAINTENANCE / ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
The role of the Maintenance Engineering Technician is to help improve safety and overall equipment effectiveness by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through the maintenance, installation, and control of all production equipment and systems. This incumbent ensures that maintenance services are safely provided in the correct amount of time, at the right cost, and at a high level of precision. The incumbent will play a key role in revamping current equipment and helping purchase new equipment in the future. This position reports directly to the President.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Responsible for executing daily Preventive Maintenance and Inspection tasks. Will help develop, perform, train direct laborers on, and track the entire PM system.
Responsible for executing assigned mechanical corrective work orders related to the priority of the proper maintenance of equipment in compliance with standard work, mechanical codes and adherence to safety regulations.
Assist with mechanical system installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed.
Proficient with hydraulic, pneumatic, and other mechanical systems and circuits, as well as contributing to improved designs and manufacturing processes for continuous improvement.
Maintain records of mechanical PM’s as well as work order feedback including labor charges in a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
Perform routine maintenance on production an auxiliary equipment [e.g. welders, paint systems, air compressors] and repair when necessary.
Understanding the concept of “Equipment Reliability”, as it pertains to Preventive Maintenance, Infrared Thermography, Tribology, and Vibration analysis.
Ability to schedule and balance priorities; and possess strong adherence to deadlines while in constant communication with area leaders.
Use Lean tools to ensure department is consistently driving towards being lowest cost provider by eliminating non value added activities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma.
5+ years of mechanically based technical experience in Industrial Manufacturing. Electrical / Pneumatics / Hydraulic experience a plus.
Hands-on experience working as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician or equivalent.
Demonstrated application of installation and repair (e.g. equipment balancing, alignment and leveling, setting bearings).
Familiar with Predictive Maintenance or Condition-Based Monitoring (Oil analysis, infrared thermography).
Familiar with OSHA and other safety requirements in a manufacturing setting.
Computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, ERP).
Demonstrated commitment to zero incident safety culture, employee involvement, active teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
