Job Title: AV ProgrammerLocation: Anaheim, CaliforniaFull-time, Direct-hirePetroplan is partnered with a leading electrical contractor seeking an experienced AV Programmer to lead commissioning efforts on high-profile AV projects This role partners closely with project teams to ensure seamless system turnover and client satisfaction.This is an ideal move for someone currently operating as a Senior AV Programmer / Commissioning Engineer who wants to step into people leadership without losing technical depth.Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a team of AV commissioning engineers and technicians (4–10 team members)Oversee control system validation, DSP tuning, and signal flow troubleshooting across projectsSupport and review Crestron, Extron, QSC, and Biamp programming effortsEnsure all systems meet AVIXA standards and commissioning best practicesCoordinate with project managers and field teams to align commissioning schedulesAct as the escalation point for complex technical challengesDrive QA/QC processes prior to system turnoverParticipate in client-facing meetings as a technical subject matter expertContribute to process improvements and standardization across commissioning operationsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.10+ years of experience in: AV programming, Commissioning, Systems engineering / integrationStrong expertise with:Crestron / Extron / QSC / Biamp ecosystemsDSP configuration + optimizationControl system programming validationAdvanced signal flow troubleshootingCertifications:AVIXA CTS-I (required)Manufacturer certifications highly preferred (Crestron, Extron, QSC, Shure, Dante, etc.)Experience leading or mentoring teams (formal or informal)Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high technical standards
