Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

The Machine Operator -- Fabrication is expected to perform under the direction of the area supervisor, manufacture parts per plant specification in an accurate and timely manner utilizing a CNC Machining Center/Fabrication equipment while recognizing safety and efficiencies.3rd Shift: Sunday - Thursday 11 PM - 7 AMDaily Overtime and Saturday Overtime based on business needs***Starting WagesMachine Operator I - $21.25 + 11% shift premiumMachine Operator II - $ 23.75 + 11% shift premiumEARN MORE THAN JUST A PAYCHECKEnjoy the opportunity to earn a quarterly bonus of up to 6%, based on overall site performance and key success metrics.Major ResponsibilitiesPosition and secure work piece in machineMaintain a clean safe work areaAbility to read blueprints/Diagrams, tape measure by millimeters dial caliper and any other measuring instruments as needed.Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment.Previous experience with inventory control methods.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly handle, or touch objects, tools, or controlsBasic QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentAn understanding of machining/fabricating fundamentalsAbility to perform reading, writing, and math functions.Additional QualificationsAbility to effectively communicateContributes to identifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures.Intermediate PC knowledge.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office productsStrong problem solving and reasoning skillsAbility to interpret drawings, schematics and machine specifications.Preferred QualificationsPreferred experience on equipment and automation consistent with a metal fabrication, paint, and assembly operation. Intermediate mechanical aptitude, ability to understand complex issues and systematically work toward resolution.
