Job Title: Metal Expansion Joint DesignerCompany: Precision Hose Inc.Location: Stone Mountain Ga. 30087Job Type: Full-timeAbout the RolePrecision Hose Inc. is seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Expansion Joint Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will design and develop high-quality 2D and 3D models for expansion joints used in heavy industrial applications, including chemical processing, power generation, and manufacturing. While experience in expansion joint design is preferred, we are open to training the right candidate with a strong design background and technical aptitude.Key Responsibilities•Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for metal expansion joints and associated support structures.•Produce general arrangement drawings, fabrication drawings, and production-ready documentation.•Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other engineering software to prepare accurate and efficient designs.•Collaborate with engineers, vendors, and customers to ensure project requirements and constructability.•Assist production with design clarifications and troubleshooting during the manufacturing phase.•Support multiple ongoing projects while ensuring quality and meeting deadlines.Qualifications•Associate degree in Drafting/Design or equivalent technical experience.•Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software, especially AutoCAD and SolidWorks.•Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.•Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.•Ability to work independently and take initiative in solving design challenges.•Willingness to learn and grow within the expansion joint and industrial design field.Preferred (but not required)•Experience with metal expansion joint design or analysis.•Familiarity with stress analysis software and engineering fundamentals in industrial metal expansion joint systems.•Piping design experience, preferably within heavy industrial or process plant environments is a plus.Why Join Us?• Opportunity to work on complex industrial projects from concept through production. • Collaborative environment with growth and advancement potential. • Hands-on training and mentoring in a specialized and in-demand field.Apply now to be part of a dynamic and growing team at Precision Hose Inc!
