Prototype CNC Programmer – Apex Systems Base pay: $65.00/hr – $75.00/hr Key Responsibilities Develop functional prototypes of complex electro/mechanical systems in a fast‐paced machining environment. Drive technical innovation of prototyping processes while maintaining high quality and speed. Support test teams with rapid responses to interruptions and requests. Apply and implement various manufacturing processes within a prototyping environment. Develop strategies for scaling products efficiently. Export Control Requirement Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident, or otherwise lawfully admitted into the United States as required by export‐control laws and regulations. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's, Associate's, or Trade degree in an engineering discipline or 7+ years of direct experience supporting research/hardware development. 5+ years implementing advanced machining strategies using computer‐aided manufacturing (CAM) processes. 5+ years machine‐shop experience operating complex CNC equipment, specifically multi‐axis or mill‐turn machines. 2+ years leading continuous‐improvement initiatives by establishing processes and owning to completion. Preferred Qualifications Expert knowledge of HyperMILL CAM systems or other CAM packages such as MasterCAM. Experience with electro‐mechanical design and related manufacturing processes, including small‐scale mechanical assemblies, design for manufacturing, coatings, heat treating, and finishing. Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficiency with Siemens NX or other CAD systems.
