This position exists to make high precision, close tolerance medical housings on CNC lathes. This is an intermediate position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Sets up and operates CNC machinesProduces medical housings, in a timely manner, in accordance with blueprints, sketches, and work orders, with moderate supervisionInspects and measures micro parts with general measuring devices, and makes machine offset adjustmentsPerforms setups, changeovers, and tool offsets on multiple CNC machines with moderate supervisionMaintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to our established quality and safety standardsPerforms visual and physical inspection of parts producedMake necessary adjustments to maintain nominal print dimensions and required surface finishesCompletes electronic and paper-based records with speed and accuracyMonitor machine performance, identify deviations, and make appropriate adjustments as neededAssist with maintenance and repair of equipmentPerform other related duties as assignedEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredCertificate or diploma in machining a plusFamiliar with CI Improvement/Lean a plusExperience:2 years of related experienceSpecialized training and/or certification a plusExperience with machining plastics is a plusKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Able to handle small partsExperience working with microscopes, toolmaker's scopes, and other precision measurement methods and equipmentProficiency in interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.Familiar with Statistical Process Control (SPC)Effective communication and teamwork skillsExcellent troubleshooting and decision-making skillsStrong attention to detail and quality orientedPhysical Requirements:Frequent lifting and/or moving items up to 25lbsRequired to reach with hands and arms to handle documents and productsMust be able to enter data into a computer by use of a keyboard and mouseSpecific vision abilities required by this job are those necessary for using a microscope, clearly read printed material, and read information on a computer screenWork Environment: The work environment conditions are typical of a manufacturing environment.
